Symposium venue

The Symposium is being held in the Rectorado building (bldg. 3A, see UPV Map) and the premises of the School of Agronomical Engineering (ETSI Agronomos, bldg. 3B-3C-3G) on the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (UPV) campus. Both buildings are close to each other. The closest entrance to the UPV campus is the one designated with the letter P (see UPV map). Besides the UPV map, a plan of the corresponding part of the campus and a floor plan of both buildings are attached. There are six rooms to be used for sessions with the following designations:

Rectorado building
Room A Paraninfo (1st floor)
Room B Sala d’Actes (Ground floor)
Room C Sala Nord (1st floor)
Room D Sala de Juntas (2nd floor)

ETS Agronomos building
Room E Aula Agustín Alfaro (1st floor)
Room F Salón de Actos (2nd floor, to be used only Friday)

The way to reach every room is indicated on the plans. Upper levels may also be accessed by elevator. Please contact the organizing personal if you need to use it. All rooms are indicated by signs.
Coffee breaks and the buffet lunch on Friday take place in the lobby of the Paraninfo (Room A – 1st floor of Rectorado building). Symposium lunches are held in the Restaurant La Vella – School of Buiding Management (ETS Gestión de la Edificacion) on the campus (5 minute-walk from Rectorado). A plan is attached and the way will be indicated by signs.

Symposium Office and Attention Desk

The Symposium Office is located in the ground floor of the rectorado building. The opening hours are:

8:30 – 13:30 and 15:00 – 18:00 (from Monday, September 28 to Thusday, October 1)
9:00 – 13:30 and 15:00 – 18:00 (on Friday, October 2)

The Attention Desk is located in the lobby of the Paraninfo (Room A – 1st floor of Rectorado building). This is the place for the registration.

Registration Desk

At the registration desk you will receive tickets for:

1. Lunches during the Symposium (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday)
2. Welcoming Reception
3. Gala Dinner
4. Technical Excursion

If you are a student and have not yet bought the tickets for Welcoming Reception, Gala Dinner and Technical Excursion, you can buy them – if wanted - at the registration desk.
We kindly recommend you to carry them with you during the Symposium.
In case you will not use some of the tickets, please let us know at the registration desk.

You will also receive a password so you can use the WiFi available throughout the University

Universidad Politécnica de Valencia

The Vera Campus site is located to the north of the city of Valencia in a peaceful setting that borders with traditional farmland. It consists of nearly 60 buildings arranged in an orderly manner around the Agora, which is the centre of life on the campus. There are over 108 000 square metres of green spaces that house an open-air museum of sculpture.
